The Mage


He marched, his army marching behind him. They stormed through the forest. They would stop him. Well, I hope so, he mumbled in his head. They were storming through the park when suddenly… this couldn’t be right, he was there… standing as still as could be. “Why, I didn’t expect to see you here,” he murmured with a wry smile. “Oh right, I did!” He added. The army charged. They ran towards him, but he pulled his sceptre out and a beam shot towards them. “DUCK!” the general screamed. But it was too late. The beam hit his army, turning them instantly into wooden statues. The general stared at the mage, who proceeded to say, “It looks like you’re alone now… I hope you enjoy statues, because that’s what you’re going to be from now on!” Suddenly a beam shot from the sceptre towards the general. He started to scream. Suddenly, he felt an intense heat. Then there was nothing…
